Just like in the word “Contest”, there are many words that begin with CON.
I am sure you can read these words. Today I want you to read them differently. These are the changes that will take your English from “just okay” to sounding polished, clear and fluent.
Listen to this podcast and check out the word lists below
Nouns-Stress the prefix “con”
Try to say the first syllable at a higher pitch and say the vowel sound longer (like me on the podcast!)
Verbs-Stress the root word
Now say the first syllable fast and at a lower pitch. Make your pitch higher for the second syllable (like me on the podcast!)
I encourage you to sign-up for my FREE newsletter/podcast. This week there’s an extra podcast for saying everyday sentences with these “con” words.
Also, go to my “ProAccent Coaching” Facebook page and say hello! I’d love to hear from you.
